OpenCart 4

The OpenCart 4 extension has the same features as the OpenCart 3 extension. It uses OpenCart 4 events instead of vQmod, so there are no core file changes.

Install

1. In OpenCart admin, go to Extensions > Installer and upload opl_insights.ocmod.zip. Keep that exact file name: OpenCart 4 uses it to name the extension folder.
2. Go to Extensions > Extensions > Modules, find OpL Insights and click Install, then Edit.

Upgrade

Unzip opl_insights.ocmod.zip over extension/opl_insights/ on the server.

Don't uninstall to upgrade. OpenCart 4 deletes an extension's settings when it is uninstalled, and you would have to connect the store again.

Connect and configure

Everything else is the same as OpenCart 3: add the connection code to admin/config.php, click Connect, and manage store addresses, time zone and currency from the Connect panel. See OpenCart 3 + Journal3.

On OpenCart 4, Save stores the settings without leaving the page. With Update OpL Insights when I save ticked, the page reloads and shows what changed in OpL Insights.

Notes

• Page addresses are reported in OpenCart 3 form (product/manufacturer.info becomes product/manufacturer/info), so checkout funnels match across OpenCart 3 and 4 stores.
• The script is served from /extension/opl_insights/catalog/view/javascript/opl_insights/oi.js.
